Ethereum was trading at $245.29 by 19:47 (00:47 GMT) on the Index on Wednesday, up 10.12% on the day. It was the largest one-day percentage gain since January 14.

The move upwards pushed Ethereum's market cap up to $26.45B, or 8.77% of the total cryptocurrency market cap. At its highest, Ethereum's market cap was $135.58B.

Ethereum had traded in a range of $236.73 to $245.29 in the previous twenty-four hours.

Over the past seven days, Ethereum has seen a rise in value, as it gained 27.44%. The volume of Ethereum traded in the twenty-four hours to time of writing was $17.58B or 12.63% of the total volume of all cryptocurrencies. It has traded in a range of $201.2855 to $245.2894 in the past 7 days.

At its current price, Ethereum is still down 82.76% from its all-time high of $1,423.20 set on January 13, 2018.

XRP was trading at $0.28346 on the Index, a gain of 3.52%.

Bitcoin's market cap was last at $186.84B or 61.93% of the total cryptocurrency market cap, while XRP's market cap totaled $12.33B or 4.09% of the total cryptocurrency market value.
