Bitcoin Climbs Above 9,927.4 Level, Up 1%

Bitcoin rose above the $9,927.4 threshold on Sunday. Bitcoin was trading at 9,927.4 by 19:52 (00:52 GMT) on the Index, up 1.40% on the day. It was the largest one-day percentage gain since February 6.

The move upwards pushed Bitcoin's market cap up to $179.9B, or 62.52% of the total cryptocurrency market cap. At its highest, Bitcoin's market cap was $241.2B.

Bitcoin had traded in a range of $9,882.7 to $9,928.5 in the previous twenty-four hours.

Over the past seven days, Bitcoin has seen a rise in value, as it gained 5.83%. The volume of Bitcoin traded in the twenty-four hours to time of writing was $35.3B or 26.55% of the total volume of all cryptocurrencies. It has traded in a range of $9,179.9121 to $9,931.1689 in the past 7 days.

At its current price, Bitcoin is still down 50.04% from its all-time high of $19,870.62 set on December 17, 2017.

XRP was trading at $0.27948 on the Index, a gain of 1.38%.

Ethereum's market cap was last at $24.7B or 8.57% of the total cryptocurrency market cap, while XRP's market cap totaled $12.1B or 4.22% of the total cryptocurrency market value.
