Western Digital Earnings, Revenue miss in Q2

Western Digital (NASDAQ:WDC) reported second quarter earnings that missed analysts' expectations on Thursday and revenue that fell short of forecasts.

The firm reported earnings per share of $1.45 on revenue of $4.23B. Analysts polled by forecast EPS of $1.5 on revenue of $4.26B. That compared to EPS of $3.95 on revenue of $5.34B in the same period a year earlier. The company had reported EPS of $3.04 on revenue of $5.03B in the previous quarter.

Western Digital shares lost 3.54% to trade at $38.72 in after-hours trade following the report.

On Thursday, Intel reported fourth quarter EPS of $1.28 on revenue of $18.66B, compared to forecasts of EPS of $1.22 on revenue of $19.02B.
