VeriSign (NASDAQ:VRSN) reported first quarter earnings that Beat analysts' expectations on Thursday and revenue that topped forecasts.

The firm reported earnings per share of $1.31 on revenue of $306.4M. Analysts polled by anticipated EPS of $1.23 on revenue of $305.4M. That compared to EPS of $1.07 on revenue of $299.29M in the same period a year earlier. The company had reported EPS of $1.58 on revenue of $307.45M in the previous quarter.
