Investing.com - U.S. homebuilding rose in May, according to data released on Tuesday.
Housing starts increased 5.0% to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 1.350 million units last month, the Commerce Department said.
Economists had forecast housing starts rising to a pace of 1.310 million units last month.
Building permits fell 4.6% to a rate of 1.301 million units in May.
Economists had forecast building permits decreasing to a pace of 1.350 million units last month.
