Texas Instruments (NASDAQ:TXN) reported second quarter earnings that beat analysts' expectations on Tuesday and revenue that topped forecasts.

The firm reported earnings per share of $1.29 on revenue of $3.67B. Analysts polled by expected EPS of $1.22 on revenue of $3.6B. That compared to EPS of $1.4 on revenue of $4.02B in the same period a year earlier. The company had reported EPS of $1.26 on revenue of $3.59B in the previous quarter.
