Stocks in focus in premarket trading on Wednesday:
• CVS Health (NYSE:CVS) stock gained 4.2% in premarket trade by 8:20 AM ET (12:20 GMT) after its earnings came in higher than expected and it raised its full-year guidance.
• Walt Disney (NYSE:DIS) fell 4.7% after its fiscal third-quarter earnings missed estimates due to the costs of integrating Fox’s entertainment assets.
• Match (NASDAQ:MTCH) jumped 16.8% after the online dating company beat Wall Street forecasts for its second-quarter earnings, as its results were driven by a jump in paying Tinder users. The app had a reported 5.2 million average subscribers in the quarter, which makes it one of the largest earning nongaming apps.
• Weight Watchers (NASDAQ:WW) surged 22.8% after it reported higher-than-expected results, as it increased paid subscribers and increased its full-year revenue forecast.
• Walgreens Boots Alliance (NASDAQ:WBA) inched up 0.5% after it said it planned to close 200 stores in the U.S., which could lead to annual cost savings of more than $1.5 billion by 2022.
• Hertz (NYSE:HTZ) rose 5% after its top and bottom line beat estimates due to improved productivity.
