Sri Lanka stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Information Technology, Construction&Engineering and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share rose 0.92%.
The best performers of the session on the CSE All-Share were Bansei Royal Resorts Hikkaduwa Limited (CM:BANS), which rose 23.08% or 1.20 points to trade at 6.40 at the close. Meanwhile, Radiant Gems International PLC (CM:RGEM) added 21.46% or 4.40 points to end at 24.90 and Selinsing PLC (CM:SELI) was up 21.42% or 131.40 points to 744.80 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Beruwala Resorts PLC (CM:BERU), which fell 14.29% or 0.100 points to trade at 0.600 at the close. Colombo Fort Investments PLC (CM:CFI) declined 11.90% or 5.70 points to end at 42.20 and Nuwara Eliya Hotels Co PLC (CM:NEH) was down 11.78% or 119.00 points to 891.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Colombo Stock Exchange by 139 to 45 and 46 ended unchanged.
Shares in Beruwala Resorts PLC (CM:BERU) fell to all time lows; falling 14.29% or 0.100 to 0.600. Shares in Colombo Fort Investments PLC (CM:CFI) fell to 5-year lows; losing 11.90% or 5.70 to 42.20. Shares in Nuwara Eliya Hotels Co PLC (CM:NEH) fell to 5-year lows; falling 11.78% or 119.00 to 891.00.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 0.15% or 0.11 to $72.17 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.21% or 0.17 to hit $81.09 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.18% or 2.20 to trade at $1202.90 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was up 0.08% to 222.295, while USD/LKR rose 0.15% to 169.010.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.11% at 93.83.
