S&P Global Earnings beat, Revenue misses In Q3

S&P Global reported third quarter earnings that beat analyst's expectations on Thursday and revenue that fell short of forecasts.

The firm reported earnings per share of $2.11 on revenue of $1.55B. Analysts polled by expected EPS of $2.05 on revenue of $1.59B. That compared to EPS of $1.71 on revenue of $1.51B in the same period a year earlier. The company had reported EPS of $2.17 on revenue of $1.6B in the previous quarter.

For the year, S&P Global shares are up 4.75%, outperforming the S&P 500 which is down 1.03% year to date.

On Wednesday, Visa (NYSE:V) reported fourth quarter EPS of $1.21 on revenue of $5.43B, compared to forecasts of EPS of $1.2 on revenue of $5.43B.
