Randstad reported on Wednesday first quarter earnings that beat analysts' forecasts and revenue that topped expectations.
Randstad announced earnings per share of €0.58 on revenue of €5.41B. Analysts polled by anticipated EPS of €0.52 on revenue of €4.98B. That with comparison to EPS of €0.86 on revenue of €5.72B in the same period a year before. Randstad had reported EPS of €1.14 on revenue of €6B in the previous quarter. Analysts are expecting EPS of €0.09 and revenue of €1.96B in the upcoming quarter.
Randstad shares are down 38% from the beginning of the year , still down 40.45% from its 52 week high of €56.10 set on January 9. They are under-performing the AEX which is down 16.18% year to date.

Randstad's report follows an earnings missed by PostNL on April 8, who reported EPS of €0.04 on revenue of €843M, compared to forecasts EPS of €0.2 on revenue of €816M.
