Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Technology Hardware&Equipment, Energy and Diversified Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 1.44%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS), which rose 7.31% or 2.63 points to trade at 38.60 at the close. Meanwhile, Aker BP ASA (OL:AKERBP) added 4.09% or 12.40 points to end at 315.80 and DNO International ASA (OL:DNO) was up 3.71% or 0.55 points to 15.23 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC), which fell 1.21% or 3.00 points to trade at 245.20 at the close. P/f Bakkafrost (OL:BAKKA) declined 0.78% or 3.60 points to end at 459.60 and Gjensidige Forsikring ASA (OL:GJFS) was down 0.54% or 0.7 points to 128.9.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 116 to 62 and 19 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 3.26% or 2.30 to $72.83 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 2.40% or 1.83 to hit $77.97 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.28% or 3.50 to trade at $1256.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.20% to 9.4502, while USD/NOK rose 0.31% to 8.1549.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.46% at 94.79.
