Norway stocks higher at close of trade; Oslo OBX up 0.83%

Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Pharma Biotech&Life Sciences, Banking and Insurance sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.83% to hit a new all time high.

The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Norwegian Finans Holding ASA (OL:NOFI), which rose 4.59% or 4.10 points to trade at 93.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Aker BP ASA (OL:AKERBP) added 1.96% or 5.80 points to end at 302.40 and Storebrand ASA (OL:STB) was up 1.90% or 1.30 points to 69.62 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Questerre Energy Corporation (OL:QEC), which fell 3.50% or 0.14 points to trade at 3.86 at the close. BW LPG Ltd (OL:BWLPG) declined 1.70% or 0.63 points to end at 36.36 and TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS) was down 0.94% or 2.6 points to 275.4.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 92 to 81 and 29 ended unchanged.

Shares in Questerre Energy Corporation (OL:QEC) fell to 52-week lows; falling 3.50% or 0.14 to 3.86.

Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.65% or 0.43 to $66.17 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.09% or 0.07 to hit $76.53 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.21% or 2.80 to trade at $1305.50 a troy ounce.

EUR/NOK was down 0.04% to 9.4775, while USD/NOK fell 0.30% to 8.0325.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.05% at 93.50.
