Incidents of lung diseases tied to vaping worsened in the last week, with 805 confirmed or probable cases and at least 12 deaths, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said Thursday.
- But the CDC still isn't sure what the cause is. Most patients have said they used e-cigarette products containing THC.
- The number of cases grew from 530 confirmed or probable cases and seven deaths as of Sept. 17. Patients are from 46 states now, up from 38 a week ago. Most patients are men, with two thirds between the ages of 18 and 34. Another 16% are under age 18, the CDC said.
