Netherlands stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Healthcare, Telecoms and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX added 0.63% to hit a new 6-months high.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were Koninklijke Philips NV (AS:PHG), which rose 2.58% or 0.95 points to trade at 37.97 at the close. Meanwhile, Unilever NV DRC (AS:UNc) added 1.39% or 0.74 points to end at 53.96 and Royal Dutch Shell PLC Class A (AS:RDSa) was up 1.24% or 0.350 points to 28.480 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were ArcelorMittal SA (AS:MT), which fell 1.27% or 0.248 points to trade at 19.328 at the close. WFD Unibail Rodamco NV (AS:URW) declined 0.78% or 1.20 points to end at 153.25 and Koninklijke Vopak NV (AS:VOPA) was down 0.58% or 0.23 points to 39.75.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 71 to 64 and 9 ended unchanged.
Shares in Unilever NV DRC (AS:UNc) rose to all time highs; up 1.39% or 0.74 to 53.96.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was down 1.79% to 11.76.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 0.76% or 0.48 to $63.98 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.99% or 0.71 to hit $72.25 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.32% or 4.15 to trade at $1285.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.30% to 1.1219, while EUR/GBP fell 0.46% to 0.8604.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.36% at 97.225.
