Morocco stocks higher at close of trade; Moroccan All Shares up 1.30%

Investing.com – Morocco stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Pharmaceutical Industry, Food Producers&Processors and Chemicals sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares added 1.30%.

The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Sothema (CS:SOT), which rose 4.67% or 78 points to trade at 1750 at the close. Meanwhile, Cosumar (CS:CSMR) added 4.07% or 11 points to end at 290 and Fenie Brossette (CS:FBR) was up 3.90% or 3.90 points to 103.90 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were M2M Group (CS:M2M), which fell 7.03% or 34.80 points to trade at 460.00 at the close. Delattre Levivier Maroc (CS:DLM) declined 5.03% or 9.00 points to end at 170.00 and BMCI (CS:BMCI) was down 3.18% or 31 points to 945.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 25 to 14 and 7 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for July delivery was up 1.70% or 1.10 to $65.83 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 2.14% or 1.61 to hit $76.97 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.05% or 0.70 to trade at $1302.10 a troy ounce.

EUR/MAD was up 0.12% to 11.1350, while USD/MAD fell 0.22% to 9.4267.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.25% at 93.38.
