Laboratory America Earnings Beat, Revenue Inline In Q1

Laboratory (NYSE:LH) America reported on Wednesday first quarter earnings that beat analysts' forecasts and revenue that was inline with expectations.

Laboratory America announced earnings per share of $2.37 on revenue of $2.82B. Analysts polled by anticipated EPS of $2.22 on revenue of $2.82B. That with comparison to EPS of $2.62 on revenue of $2.79B in the same period a year before. Laboratory America had reported EPS of $2.86 on revenue of $2.95B in the previous quarter. Analysts are expecting EPS of $0.99 and revenue of $2.48B in the upcoming quarter.

Laboratory America shares are up 4% from the beginning of the year , still down 10.39% from its 52 week high of $196.36 set on February 13. They are outperforming the S&P 500 which is down 11.75% year to date.
