Ethereum was trading at $231.43 by 11:33 (15:33 GMT) on the Index on Friday, down 20.11% on the day. It was the largest one-day percentage loss since December 22, 2017.

The move downwards pushed Ethereum's market cap down to $24.88B, or 11.01% of the total cryptocurrency market cap. At its highest, Ethereum's market cap was $135.58B.

Ethereum had traded in a range of $224.62 to $267.80 in the previous twenty-four hours.

Over the past seven days, Ethereum has seen a rise in value, as it gained 35.11%. The volume of Ethereum traded in the twenty-four hours to time of writing was $16.81B or 15.54% of the total volume of all cryptocurrencies. It has traded in a range of $172.7451 to $278.5239 in the past 7 days.

At its current price, Ethereum is still down 83.74% from its all-time high of $1,423.20 set on January 13, 2018.

Bitcoin was last at $7,149.7 on the Index, down 12.13% on the day.

XRP was trading at $0.37093 on the Index, a loss of 17.49%.

Bitcoin's market cap was last at $127.30B or 56.33% of the total cryptocurrency market cap, while XRP's market cap totaled $15.76B or 6.98% of the total cryptocurrency market value.
