Ethereum rose above the $278.97 threshold on Saturday. Ethereum was trading at 278.97 by 02:30 (07:30 GMT) on the Index, up 5.21% on the day. It was the largest one-day percentage gain since February 14.

The move upwards pushed Ethereum's market cap up to $30.66B, or 9.87% of the total cryptocurrency market cap. At its highest, Ethereum's market cap was $135.58B.

Ethereum had traded in a range of $277.93 to $287.93 in the previous twenty-four hours.

At its current price, Ethereum is still down 80.40% from its all-time high of $1,423.20 set on January 13, 2018.
