Ethereum Climbs 11% As Investors Gain Confidence

Ethereum was trading at $181.75 by 13:09 (17:09 GMT) on the Index on Friday, up 10.53% on the day. It was the largest one-day percentage gain since October 25.

The move upwards pushed Ethereum's market cap up to $19.36B, or 8.36% of the total cryptocurrency market cap. At its highest, Ethereum's market cap was $135.58B.

Ethereum had traded in a range of $160.41 to $181.80 in the previous twenty-four hours.

Over the past seven days, Ethereum has seen a rise in value, as it gained 2.94%. The volume of Ethereum traded in the twenty-four hours to time of writing was $8.43B or 10.73% of the total volume of all cryptocurrencies. It has traded in a range of $154.4165 to $181.8035 in the past 7 days.

At its current price, Ethereum is still down 87.23% from its all-time high of $1,423.20 set on January 13, 2018.

XRP was trading at $0.30155 on the Index, a gain of 8.13%.

Bitcoin's market cap was last at $150.64B or 65.02% of the total cryptocurrency market cap, while XRP's market cap totaled $12.84B or 5.54% of the total cryptocurrency market value.
