Ethereum was trading at $173.41 by 12:10 (16:10 GMT) on the Index on Wednesday, up 10.43% on the day. It was the largest one-day percentage gain since April 2.

The move upwards pushed Ethereum's market cap up to $17.95B, or 10.20% of the total cryptocurrency market cap. At its highest, Ethereum's market cap was $135.58B.

Ethereum had traded in a range of $160.99 to $175.01 in the previous twenty-four hours.

Over the past seven days, Ethereum has seen a rise in value, as it gained 21.86%. The volume of Ethereum traded in the twenty-four hours to time of writing was $9.72B or 12.81% of the total volume of all cryptocurrencies. It has traded in a range of $137.6818 to $175.0117 in the past 7 days.

At its current price, Ethereum is still down 87.82% from its all-time high of $1,423.20 set on January 13, 2018.

Bitcoin was last at $5,046.0 on the Index, up 6.25% on the day.

XRP was trading at $0.36238 on the Index, a gain of 7.17%.

Bitcoin's market cap was last at $88.13B or 50.05% of the total cryptocurrency market cap, while XRP's market cap totaled $14.98B or 8.51% of the total cryptocurrency market value.
