Dollar Tree Earnings inline, Revenue Beats In Q1

Dollar Tree (NASDAQ:DLTR) reported first quarter earnings that matched analysts' expectations on Thursday and revenue that topped forecasts.

The firm reported earnings per share of $1.14 on revenue of $5.81B. Analysts polled by forecast EPS of $1.14 on revenue of $5.78B. That compared to EPS of $1.19 on revenue of $5.55B in the same period a year earlier. The company had reported EPS of $1.93 on revenue of $6.21B in the previous quarter.

Dollar Tree shares lost 3.06% to trade at $92.40 in pre-market trade following the report.
