Bristol-Myers Squibb (NYSE:BMY) reported second quarter earnings that beat analysts' expectations on Thursday and revenue that topped forecasts.

The firm reported earnings per share of $1.18 on revenue of $6.27B. Analysts polled by forecast EPS of $1.07 on revenue of $6.11B. That compared to EPS of $1.01 on revenue of $5.7B in the same period a year earlier. The company had reported EPS of $1.1 on revenue of $5.92B in the previous quarter.
