Bitcoin Falls 11% In Selloff

Bitcoin was trading at $3,438.4 by 19:48 (00:48 GMT) on the Index on Friday, down 10.67% on the day. It was the largest one-day percentage loss since November 24.

The move downwards pushed Bitcoin's market cap down to $60.7B, or 54.89% of the total cryptocurrency market cap. At its highest, Bitcoin's market cap was $241.2B.

Bitcoin had traded in a range of $3,438.4 to $3,531.9 in the previous twenty-four hours.

Over the past seven days, Bitcoin has seen a drop in value, as it lost 18.23%. The volume of Bitcoin traded in the twenty-four hours to time of writing was $6.0B or 36.19% of the total volume of all cryptocurrencies. It has traded in a range of $3,438.3901 to $4,316.0884 in the past 7 days.

At its current price, Bitcoin is still down 82.70% from its all-time high of $19,870.62 set on December 17, 2017.

XRP was last at $0.30274 on the Index, down 12.13% on the day.

Ethereum was trading at $89.34 on the Index, a loss of 15.62%.

XRP's market cap was last at $12.4B or 11.24% of the total cryptocurrency market cap, while Ethereum's market cap totaled $9.4B or 8.52% of the total cryptocurrency market value.
