Bitcoin Climbs Above 7,501.9 Level, Up 10%

Bitcoin rose above the $7,501.9 threshold on Sunday. Bitcoin was trading at 7,501.9 by 05:28 (09:28 GMT) on the Index, up 9.63% on the day. It was the largest one-day percentage gain since May 11.

The move upwards pushed Bitcoin's market cap up to $131.0B, or 59.05% of the total cryptocurrency market cap. At its highest, Bitcoin's market cap was $241.2B.

Bitcoin had traded in a range of $6,960.7 to $7,518.9 in the previous twenty-four hours.

Over the past seven days, Bitcoin has seen a rise in value, as it gained 27.89%. The volume of Bitcoin traded in the twenty-four hours to time of writing was $29.1B or 30.28% of the total volume of all cryptocurrencies. It has traded in a range of $5,630.5322 to $7,518.9155 in the past 7 days.

At its current price, Bitcoin is still down 62.25% from its all-time high of $19,870.62 set on December 17, 2017.

Ethereum was last at $197.71 on the Index, up 6.35% on the day.

XRP was trading at $0.32166 on the Index, a gain of 3.71%.

Ethereum's market cap was last at $20.8B or 9.36% of the total cryptocurrency market cap, while XRP's market cap totaled $13.5B or 6.09% of the total cryptocurrency market value.
