Bitcoin Climbs Above 11,792.0 Level, Up 7%

Bitcoin rose above the $11,792.0 threshold on Monday. Bitcoin was trading at 11,792.0 by 18:51 (22:51 GMT) on the Index, up 7.18% on the day. It was the largest one-day percentage gain since August 5.

The move upwards pushed Bitcoin's market cap up to $210.0B, or 67.43% of the total cryptocurrency market cap. At its highest, Bitcoin's market cap was $241.2B.

Bitcoin had traded in a range of $10,935.5 to $11,922.3 in the previous twenty-four hours.

Over the past seven days, Bitcoin has seen a rise in value, as it gained 23.63%. The volume of Bitcoin traded in the twenty-four hours to time of writing was $23.9B or 34.03% of the total volume of all cryptocurrencies. It has traded in a range of $9,483.0127 to $11,922.2676 in the past 7 days.

At its current price, Bitcoin is still down 40.66% from its all-time high of $19,870.62 set on December 17, 2017.
