Belgium stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Healthcare, Basic Materials and Consumer Goods sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 declined 0.43% to hit a new 52-week low.
The best performers of the session on the BEL 20 were Anheuser Busch Inbev SA NV (BR:ABI), which rose 1.47% or 1.05 points to trade at 72.36 at the close. Meanwhile, Telenet Group Holding NV (BR:TNET) added 0.91% or 0.42 points to end at 46.74 and UCB (BR:UCB) was up 0.86% or 0.60 points to 70.54 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Aperam SA (AS:APAM), which fell 4.59% or 1.56 points to trade at 32.39 at the close. KBC (BR:KBC) declined 1.59% or 0.980 points to end at 60.520 and Solvay SA (BR:SOLB) was down 1.51% or 1.50 points to 97.60.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 77 to 32 and 22 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.15% or 1.90 to $1231.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 1.79% or 1.19 to hit $67.62 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 1.20% or 0.92 to trade at $77.36 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.69% to 1.1393, while EUR/GBP fell 0.02% to 0.8834.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.43% at 96.12.
