Advance Auto Parts (NYSE:AAP) reported first quarter earnings that missed analysts' expectations on Tuesday and revenue that fell short of forecasts.

The firm reported earnings per share of $0.91 on revenue of $2.70B. Analysts polled by forecast EPS of $1.76 on revenue of $2.74B. That compared to EPS of $2.46 on revenue of $2.95B in the same period a year earlier. The company had reported EPS of $1.64 on revenue of $2.11B in the previous quarter.
